Benefits of ICSI

The ICSI method assumes that the embryologist selects only mature, healthy oocytes and mature, morphologically eligible spermatozoids, which significantly increases the chances of having a healthy baby.
During the ICSI procedure, one of the most fertile spermatozoids is injected directly into the egg under the control of the embryologist.

Due to the controlled ovarian stimulation, there is a risk of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome. However, the use of the cycle fragmentation tactics (delayed embryo transfer) with a special injection ending the stimulation (a GnRH agonist trigger) completely allows avoiding hyperstimulation.
Fertilized oocytes are placed in a nutrient medium and then the cultivation process occurs in the same way as in standard IVF.

According to the latest data at our clinic, the effectiveness of the ICSI procedure is 43%.
